The island of Langkawi has a rich concentration of diverse ecosystems which has attracted around 226 species of birds. Almost one third of birds on the island actually migrated to the island, captivated by its lowland broadleaf rainforest, mangrove forest, reed beds, rice paddies, orchards, scrublands and mudflats. Both serious birdwatchers and those who appreciate the beauty of nature will be enthralled by its bird life, with great photographic opportunities.
